About Us

Fountains of Compassion

Fountains of Compassion is a charitable, not-for-profit organization founded by Rev. Fr. Philip Paul Tah in the wake of the violent raid and destruction of our communities of Nsadop in Cross River State, Nigeria, by their neighbors. On the 23rd of Oct. 2010, inhabitants of the Nsadop communities lost in a single violent raid 513 houses, about 96% of their homes and 37 people, including men, women, and children. Though our work started as a response to this tragedy in Nsadop, we have since expanded our services to other areas of urgent human needs and other communities and countries. During this period, we have invested in three empowerment initiatives: Education and skill acquisition training, Integral Health care services, and Community development. Fountains of Compassion is founded on the principles of decency, accountability, transparency, service, and complete dedication to the cause of rebuilding broken lives and communities and keeping the promise of a more humane society.

Our Mission

The world remains a difficult place for far too many. New problems crop up across the globe, often without warning. Flexibility and adaptability are vital thriving tools. As a result, over the last decade, Fountains of Compassion has partnered with several organizations and identified newer areas of greater urgency to continue our services. Education is the panacea for childhood poverty and lots of social disorders. Our Focus is to educate and empower our young people and train them to acquire job skills and a safe environment.

Our motto is to leave no vulnerable child or senior behind. We partner with local hospitals and provide medical care to impoverished seniors

Our Motto

“Leaving no vulnerable child or senior behind”. Our mission Inspires us, our vision guides and drives us, our shared partners encourage us, and our values keep us firmly grounded. We are unstoppable!

Our Mission
Fountains of Compassion exist to meet ever-evolving challenges to the poor, disinherited, disenfranchised, exploited, and missing children and seniors.
FOUNTAINS OF COMPASSION
Our Core Operational Principles

Our destinies are intrinsically bound together in more ways than we are aware of. Individuals, communities, ecosystems, all do not subsist in isolation. Human survival means that we choose to care for our most vulnerable populations. None is secure until s/he has secured the wellbeing of all.

Innovation, adaptability, and flexibility are key ingredients for human thriving. We are constantly listening, learning, correcting, and growing. We are always open to work with new partners to enhance capacity and outcome. We do not fail when we change course. We fail when we ignore calls for timely and needed change.

“Credibility is a leader’s currency. With it, he or she is solvent; without it, he or she is bankrupt.” -John C. Maxwell. Ina world deficient in trust, we hold ourselves to a high ethical and moral standard. We are committed to accountability, responsibility, objectivity, equality, and total transparency in our decisions and operational conducts. We respect the dignity and humanity of all persons and we honor our commitments especially when no one is looking. We believe that the difficulty thing and the right are always the same.

Every child we fail to educate is one investment we fail to make. Every person who fails to achieve their life-given potentials is a loss to our collaborative success. We are committed to empowering local resources to build manpower, capacity and independence. The most effective response to childhood poverty, illiteracy, intercommunal violence, and exploitation will need to efforts of all well-meaning persons at the head of the table. Please consider joining us and securing opportunity for disenfranchised and disinherited persons around the world.

The world is no doubt an ugly place for too many of our people. Hunger, disease, poverty, abuse, and premature death are too commonplace. But we cannot and must not despair. We must commit to building a world we wished we had. We must choose to see opportunity not just obstacles, choose to believe in each other’s goodness not just dark side. Let us keep hope alive for our hopeless, powerless, and disadvantaged populations. Yes, we can!

Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere. We may not be able to right all wrongs, stop all crimes, end all hunger, and save all endangered populations, but doing nothing cannot be an option. We will fight for the rights of all persons especially children and seniors. We will work to bring all missing children home or bring closure to their families. We will not give criminals a safe haven to operate. For all evil done by humans to other must be addressed. If not by earthly justice systems then definitely by divine principles.

“Some men see things as they are, and say why. I dream of things that never were, and say why not”. -Robert Kennedy. We do not run from problems because we can see easy solutions. We embrace problems because we believe in the creative abilities of teamwork and team efforts. Help us know areas where we can get involved and consider being part of this humanity enhancement project.

Safety is Everything. Nothing else is possible without it.
